Rolling into week 26

It's hard to believe I'm already in week 26!

As I continue to grow I wonder more and more what exactly Eleanor will look like.

Will she be pretty? Will she be big? What features of mine will she have and what of Morgs'?

Coming up real soon I have three baby showers (two of which are mine) and a wedding to attend.

Does anyone know where I can get a couple of cute maternity dresses other than Target, Motherhood Maternity and Pea in the Pod?

I'm looking for something colorful, fitted and different. Why do all maternity clothes have to look so dowdy?

Have a good Wednesday everyone!

  1. I recommend Gap and Old Navy (online). Gap is a little pricier but my stuff from there has lasted through 2 pregnancies and on sale is affordable. Old Navy doesn't last as nicely but is really affordable and they usually have a big selection.

  2. Lilly,
Your little like me, and even though our bellies are bigger than they have EVER been, i have found that i still fit better in "regular" clothes than maternity stuff. Just look for dresses that have an empire waist. Get something with a halter top to show off the nice new cleavage our little frames have never had and they come in all sorts of different colors... look at any of the stores at the mall. You will be surprised what you still fit in. Oh and P.s. by the way I am all alone right now so if you could write more in you blog to keep me occupied for the next 3 weeks that would be great... LOL. Not that you have anything better to do than entertain me... :) Good luck with the dresses. make sure to post pics.

  3. We are all wondering what Eleanor looks like. When I see your profile picture of you & Morgan, one thing for sure - she will have a dynamite smile! When is your next 4D ultrasound? Really looking forward to seeing Ellie's pictures. With regard to maternity clothes, hmmm - I will browse around. One thing for sure - July & August in Georgia - the clothes have got to be cool! xox

  5. You guys are all awesome and I really do appreciate the suggestions.

Meg...it's so funny you should mention Old Navy because I was just looking at the maternity section online today. I'm headed there tomorrow actually for a shopping excursion I've decided, but I didn't know the Gap had maternity wear too so thanks!

Just an FYI...my friend Lauren told me to check out Anne Taylor Loft maternity (online) and I found a couple of really cute dresses there too.

Rebecca...I will definitely kick the blogging into high gear in your honor while Breeze is out of town. It stinks he's away so close to your due date. How many more weeks now is it? 8ish? As far as clothes go, you're right, I have survived really well with my own wardrobe up until this point and I certainly plan on stretching my non-maternity wear to the bitter end (pun intended). :) I do need some work appropriate tops and pants that I won't completely soak through this summer but as long as I stick to empire waist lines for the most part I should be good to go.

BTW it was 90 freaking degrees out today and about 88 percent humidity! Yikes.

Carole...Thank you for the compliment. Keep 'em coming because lately I've been feeling a little large and, well, not so attractive and graceful. Maybe I just need a new dress! :) Can't wait for Oregon!!!

Thank you all for you input. I'm gonna go to the Gap online now and spend some money I don't have. Teehee.

  6. P.S. Our next 4D ultrasound, I think, will be next week some time. I have to wait until Morgan got out of the field to make the appointment. He'll be out Saturday so I'm thinking perhaps Monday or Tuesday of next week. I'm so excited to see what she looks like!
